Benjamin Osler This is an amazing collection of very wonderful original Celtic acoustic music. Craig has a youthfully beautiful voice but his song writing shows great maturity and his talent is abundantly obvious. I think the only reason he is not a superstar is that he's too happy in his beautiful Scottish Highland home to bother about the rest of the world much. Good luck to him. Favorite track: Photographs Of You And Your New Lover.

Do you ever feel like you're rolling downhill Rolling downhill No acceleration, no brakes Downhill Downhill Your feet are calm and still So many cars around you but the only thing you see is moonlight I know all the steps to take The worst mistake you'll ever make I've got the tools of the trade The worst mistake you'll ever make The worst mistake you'll ever make The worst advice you'll ever take The worst mistake you'll ever make Do you ever feel like you're tumbling through the sky Tumbling through the sky No parachute, no guides Through the clouds Through the clouds Your feet are useless now So many stars around you but the only thing you see are streetlights I know all the steps to take The worst mistake you'll ever make I've got the tools of the trade The worst mistake you'll ever make The worst mistake you'll ever make The worst advice you'll ever take The worst mistake you'll ever make Do you ever feel like you’re rolling downhill?

I've got a feeling there's just no breaking her Thought I'd made a breakthrough when my palm touched hers Within a second she pulled her hand away As I stumble over every word I should say And for a second I stood outside myself Realised how I must look to everyone else How can you turn the tables when they’re broke in two? How can you speak when you are not spoken to? Ahh ahh ahh I’ve been reading that book you said was great Listening to that guff band that you rate There's this story I've told noone before If I tell you now would it make you like me more? Well walking home a boy with two hearing aids Walked up to me and he went to kick my legs I moved away and said "What you playing at?" He screamed after me "What you laughing at?" Ahh ahh ahh Is it delusion that keeps this hope alive- Did I misread every time we locked our eyes Is there something that's keeping us apart and if not why the sudden change of heart I’ll start pretending I don’t see her arrive I’ll keep ignoring her then she’ll realise I’ll smile at everyone else and frown at her Until she’s screaming there’s just no breaking him Ahh ahh ahh

The bus there I’m light as a feather The bus back Heavy as ten tigers The bus there I saw a shimmering meadow The bus back I caught a fisherman’s shadow If I’d caught the earlier bus Well then we wouldn’t have to rush We could have bought risotto rice We could have cooked up something really nice But I didn’t It’s just the loneliest part of the longest ride It’s just the ladder going up to the water slide It’s just the pound you put in to keep it free It’s just the wave that pulled you down in the big blue sea It’s just the love you walk with but never touch The ebony walking stick to replace the crutch It’s just the lingering look that took your breath The jump into the puddle that got your socks wet The bus there Listened to Radio City The bus back My battery died on me The bus there Got delayed til half nine The bus back Always leaves bang on time The bus takes the long way around and stops in almost every town Kirkcaldy, Leven, Anstruther, Crail As I arrive the sun’s started to ail But you’re waiting It’s just the loneliest part of the longest ride It’s just the ladder going up to the water slide It’s just the pound you put in to keep it free It’s just the wave that pulled you down in the big blue sea It’s just the love you walk with but never touch The ebony walking stick to replace the crutch It’s just the lingering look that took your breath The jump into the puddle that got your socks wet

How can you sleep when the neighbour’s so loud? How can you wake when you’ve just slept three hours? Smoker’s cough, rattles the walls 3am, drinking again How can you work when you’re the walking dead? How can you play when you’ve such a sore head? After dark up with a start 3am, shouting again How bothered can you be when you’re so tired? How can you sleep it off when you’re so wired? Ear on wall, police on call 3am, fighting again 3am and she’s screaming again Her children have school in the morning

Am I the lonely man The Gatsby to your Daisy Fay I’m tired of almost everybody in the world I’m sick of trying and failing to find your hand To hold Am I the bitter man Who crumbles like a house of cards At the mere mention of your name in company Whose heart rate loses control so pathetically That’s me You knew every inch of me I came up short You wanted more and If I find what you’re looking for Will you still want more And more and more Am I the foolish man Who walked you to the door and knocked I wish I could say I would do things differently But the door closing was the first I knew that you’d Lost me You knew every inch of me I came up short You wanted more and If I find what you’re looking for Will you still want more And more and You saw every inch of me I wasn’t worth Your house, your wine Your family’s time Your hands, your eyes Your love.

Four Eyes 03:23
Flawless enters the heart of man Thoughtless wanders on every plan Her poetry etched out on every tree Each bough and limb aching with majesty Four eyes threw me a smile again Dodged it, and it landed on my friend Her memory inked out upon his skin The laser left traces of her within Four eyes, one gaze Two lips, one kiss Four eyes, one gaze Two arms, only one embrace She’s no dancer but she moved me I’m a chancer noone believes The ice is left melting upon the bar The glass is left shattered in tiny stars Four eyes, one gaze Two lips, one kiss Four eyes, one gaze Two arms, only one embrace Four eyes, one gaze Two lips, one kiss Four eyes, one gaze Two arms, only one embrace

I've been looking at some photographs Of you and your new lover I don't like the way he looks at you I hate to think he sees the things in you that I do You tell me it won't last forever so Listen to me And put somebody else in your life I don't like the way he takes your hand Kidnaps your hallowed name and scrawls it in the sand For anyone to see Oh darling please Listen to me And put somebody else in your life When feelings start then feelings grow And when they come they seldom go Left on their own they just wither away But like a boat on sea of blue Your lover came and plundered you There always seemed to be another way I don’t think he’s got the notion yet Of where you two are going And if love is just an ocean you Are sailing when you should be rowing back to me If there’s something in that box for me Go ahead and let it out for all the world to see You’re swearing your own heart to secrecy Listen to me And put somebody else in your life I’m not saying this for me Put somebody else in your life If only love can set us free Put somebody else in your life For a moment you might see Put somebody else in your life You better run to follow me

Avaline 03:58
Avaline, rest your crooked spine Walk with me, come talk with me I won’t take any time Half-alive, cos breathing is your right Take me down to your old town Where as a lass you’d shine Lead me to where your old house once stood Wiped away one new year’s day With it your childhood Golden days, and your friends were so great Now you’re the last, time runs so fast All seemed like yesterday... Love came your way, you married straight away He stayed with you, went grey with you Died in your arms last May Before you go, remember the window Where as a girl you’d view the world And imagine you were old

Private Polly keeps it all in they say she’s broken a few hearts and that’s how she begins Melancholy fools in her wake She’d do without the burden but she’ll live with the headache This tangled euphoria Tell me a story A secret you’d share with no other And as it gets heavier Our eyes grow steadier A glimmer that this could be ours and ours alone Graphic artist back in Berlin Caught her up to something and he wishes it were him Fear of the first time we hold hands The fear of saying I love you and the fear of hearing it back This tangled euphoria Tell me a story A secret you’d share with no other And as it gets heavier Our eyes grow steadier A glimmer that this could be ours and ours alone Private Polly, pulls up a chair stares into her coffee as the sunlight hits her hair Maybe this time, maybe she’s mine an afternoon’s shared solitude for the chance to catch her eye This tangled euphoria Tell me a story A secret you’d share with no other And as it gets heavier Our eyes grow steadier Keep me from spending these hours and hours alone

These eyes have seen one thousand stares But none haunt me like yours This heart's withstood one thousand tears Still I follow your lures Your words won't last so just take them back Take them back and we'll walk on If you were me then you'd agree It's best we never know Now I'm a soul of simple joys A soul of simple means But you arrived and spun my life Into complexity Our hands aren't clasped so just Take yours back Take it back and we'll walk on If you knew me then you'd agree It's best we never know Our dreams will crack so just Take yours back Take them back and we'll walk on If you knew me then you‘d agree I’ll never let you go If you were me then you'd agree It’s best we never know

Silhouette 05:01
Silhouette of love gone by Dare I write to you tonight Silhouette of happier times Might I find that you were right The words are said The memories bled The wheels are set in motion And this will be the last time The beds are made The debts repaid The walls are painted red and this will be the last time Silhouette, a winter street A snow-flecked hand takes hold of me Silhouette, a dancefloor tomb And eyes that follow round the room The words are said The memories bled The wheels are set in motion And this will be the last time The beds are made The debts repaid The walls are painted red and this will be the last time Silhouette, take your time step into the firelight Silhouette, I can’t see With your shadow over me The words are said The memories bled The wheels are set in motion And this will be the last time The beds are made The debts repaid The walls are painted red and this will be the last time

Seven numbers in my hand An argument with you is the plan And I swear I’ve got no other choice God lend me an angry voice Confrontation’s not my game Hurting feelings gives me shakes But when reason’s lost beyond all hope Well then you buckle up and cope And don’t you harm my resolve and don’t throw in some doubt and use your voice as a shield Remind me, don’t remind me Seven words lodged in my throat Now’s your chance just let them go But when you bite your tongue so awfully hard When you release those words can scar And don’t you harm my resolve and don’t throw in some doubt and use your voice as a shield Remind me, don’t remind me Should I stand or should I run before all is said and done At least you know you had a chance In any other circumstance At least you know you had a chance In any other circumstance
